Demo Java Script ALPR with USB camera for Google Chrome.
This page demonstrates the Imense ALPR engine running as cleint side
JavaScript. This demo is for US plates only, NOT!!!! EU license plates!!!.
We recommend using a UVC compliant USB camera with a decent c-mount lens: the
Kayeton IMX291 sensored camera
has a fast modern Sony sensor and will cope with moving vehicles if fitted with a
HIKVision MVL series 6MP lens
of 25mm or 50mm.
(The lens that comes with the recommended camera can safely be placed in a garbage pail.)
For Windows 10 laptop with built in WebCam use Device Manager to disable it before Chrome
will see the external USB camera.
